Hey gang, Indy here.

Leann Manuel

It's winter now and I'm very busy keeping up appearances and also keeping everyone in line. Naturally, I must survey the property from my comfortable pen, and properly greet all who walk past.

The most interesting thing happened this winter! The Boss moved all the horses to the ranch to stay over the season. At first I just didn't know what to think. All of the smelly geldings from Penticton are now my "Neigh"- bours! Now I have 16 and a half equines to supervise. That's more work than I signed up for! Good thing my human came with the visitors, and he helps make sure everybody is sorted.

The Boss and the man also decided that we should have new gravel to stand, roll, and muck around in. It was so rainy here in December, and early January that it was tough to stay dry and clean! That gravel sure helped!

I also have a new friend! The Boss decided that our new Recruit, "Greta" needed to stay with us instead of in her own pen. Now DeeDee and Nara, (who recently ran off with a mini Donkey) and I welcomed her to the best mare pen of all time. However, Beauty thought otherwise. I felt it was my duty as a very proper mare to make her feel welcome; and vigorously told Beauty to behave! Just like I tell those smelly geldings next door to behave and show proper manners when drinking at our shared trough. That Moon needs a haircut. I tell him so every time we meet at the water trough.

Anyway, the sun has come out again, and I must now pose for a photo op.
